David Mitchell was educated at the Berklee College of Musicin Boston, and holds a degree in Chinese from the University of Durham, UK.His studies at Berklee included tuition in jazz guitar performance and composition as well as advanced harmony, arranging and Indian Rhythmic Concepts, an integral part of his tuition at the Midi School of Music.He has played in jazz and avant garde groups all over the world, including with Phil Grenadier in the US and Du YinJiao in China.He also has his own band which combines modern jazz, electronic music and Chinese traditional instruments.David works as a composer for film and television and has been an educator with Midi for four months.
